Stones Builders founder, Jason Stones, began learning the precise art of joinery from his passionate father George, alongside his brothers in their family run joinery workshop.
At the tender age of 5 Jason held his first hammer!
Jason’s dedication to precision workmanship was inevitable. He was following in the
footsteps of his gifted father, who has over his career graced the cover of The National
Geographic Magazine and has permanent joinery works of art show-cased in both the
Liverpool Museum and the Hudson Museum in America (where a new wing to the
museum was constructed to house George’s handcrafted time piece, as Negative No 4).
Jason, alongside his brothers was immersed in a world of wood and wonderment in their family-run joinery shop, where they were continually encouraged to push the boundaries in construction, always in the knowledge that their loving and nurturing father was a workbench away should they need to call on his considerable knowledge.

In 1990, whilst Jason was training for his advanced City and Guilds Qualifications,
his exceptional workmanship was acknowledged by his college peers, whereupon a
local Baroness presented Jason with the award for Joiner of the Year at the College’s
annual ceremony.
Jason first worked in East London over 28 years ago manufacturing and installing a new kitchen for a local MP. His work was gratefully received and the first recommendation to a neighbour was given. From there the recommendations to neighbours and friends have taken Stones to where we are today, a family company with family values working alongside a team of passionate and experienced builders in beautiful East London homes. The wealth of knowledge gained over the past 28 years has culminated in recommendations continuing to rise year on year; Stones now offer a complete and unrivalled service in all aspects of construction, internally and externally, from the smallest maintenance job to a complete refurbishment.
